Fr. Robin Mountford

In October 2000 the parishioners of All Saints received news from Rev. Mgr. Canon John Hull, the Diocesan Admininistrator that Fr Robin Mountford had resigned his position as Parish Priest. We were all shocked and deeply saddened by the news since we all held onto the hope that, despite his long and serious illness, Fr Robin would be back in the driving seat of parish life. Fr Robin celebrated 25 years in the Priesthood shortly after joining us in 1994, a truly memorable occasion with many fellow Priests concelebrating Mass with Bishop Cormac. We have been very blessed with our Priests in the past but Fr Robin swept into All Saints with vision and a genuine desire to develop true community. He has challenged us in our Christian beliefs, turned us upside down and through it all helped us to mature as witnesses to the Gospel message. He worked tirelessly to accomplish the reordering of our Church and is looking forward to its completion. Throughout his time at All Saints, he has shepherded us with honesty and integrity, never failing to show the true face of Robin. I feel extremely privileged to count him as a friend and mentor and I know many, many others feel the same. He has been the soul-friend who offered support and encouragement as he has walked alongside many individuals in times of laughter, sorrow and hardship. Despite his confinement, he remains the friend and Priest he has always been, now sharing his gifts with the staff and fellow patients in Holy Cross Hospital, Hazelmere. We all extend to Fr Robin our heartfelt thanks and ask God's abundant blessings and healing so that he will indeed hear the truth spoken by the Spirit within, proclaiming "You are my Beloved, my favour rests on you".
